Backshop Attendant

As summer starts to wind down, we’re already preparing for the fall season here at River Spirit Golf Club.

We are hiring **Back Shop Attendants** to help us finish the season strong as some of our out of province university students begin to head back to school.

River Spirit is a family-run, 27-hole golf facility located just outside Calgary, known for its welcoming atmosphere, team-oriented culture, and beautiful natural surroundings.

As a **Back Shop Attendant**, you’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for our members and guests.

You’ll be one of the first and last faces our guests see, so we’re looking for individuals who are **friendly, dependable, and hard-working**, with a strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.

This position is perfect for students, golf lovers, or anyone who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and assist members and guests as they arrive and depart
- Stage, prepare, and organize golf carts and pull carts daily
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the back shop and cart barn
- Operate ball picker and help maintain the driving range and short game area
- Monitor charge levels for power carts and ensure they are fully prepped
- Assist with opening and closing duties including the cleanliness of the clubhouse washrooms
- Communicate clearly with Pro Shop, marshals, and other team members to ensure seamless daily operations
- Provide courteous and efficient service while upholding course etiquette standards

**Qualifications**:

- Must be at least 16 years old
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks on your feet for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team-oriented attitude with a positive and professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented with good time management skills
- Golf knowledge is considered an asset but not required
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including **weekends and holidays**:

- Must be available to work from **the start of the season to the end**
