**Position**:
The Project Analyst plays a dynamic role in helping the Project Delivery Unit to plan, execute and monitor initiatives following proper governance. This role works with business owners, project team members, and management to gather, analyze and monitor project data to provide oversight and reporting. The Project Analyst assists in the identification of trends and opportunities for improvement to best meet business needs and support a culture of customer service excellence and growth.

**Core Responsibilities**:
Preparing project and portfolio reporting for management review
- Monitoring existing projects for timely execution, quality, and budget adherence
- Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio summary updates and insights
- Pro-actively gathering and analyzing project data to identifying common trends, risks, and weaknesses.

Provide Portfolio Oversight and Governance
- Support PDU leadership to ensure project strategies are compliant with company standards, PMO best practices and any applicable laws and regulations
- Liaising with project team members, business owners and management to provide suggestions and corrections to address compliance gaps and drive overall excellence
- Assisting business leads in planning and implementing project management strategies with templates and toolsets that align with PDU standards
- Regular communication with internal and external teams about the status and progress of their projects
- Support intake and gating activities

Understand the Existing Business Situation and Identify Opportunity
- Build relationships with business partners to understand their business needs and support the translation of business needs into project pipelines and documented requirements.
- Build engagement of business partners to embrace change and develop and implement an effective project and change management strategy

Find and Support Appropriate Solutions
- Work with internal and external PDU/PMO resources to conduct research into existing and emerging strategies to consistently elevate best practices and industry standards
- Works with leadership to recommend, pilot and support the implementation of new tools and templates to improve overall program governance
- Works with the PDU leadership, Business and Finance teams to support resource and budget planning and alignment for portfolio planning
- Supports and/or drives the project through the applicable approval processes with the functional business owner, PM, and Finance.
- Provide quality assurance, direction and documentation on project processes and procedures
- Work with PDU leadership and Project Teams to develop and report on KPI success measurements during post-launch to ensure that benefits are achieved.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in project management, business management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in Project Analysis, PMO governance, Project Management, or a similar role - preferably in a customer service business.
- Excellent knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools
- Above average communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt and leverage the mode best suited to audience, program and/or objective
- Completed PMAP, PMP and/or pursuit of PMP would be an asset
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze a range of complex data and make recommendations based on analytical findings.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure while juggling multiple assignments.
- Concrete organizational skills and ability to work with teams of varying disciplines and strong personalities.
- Demonstrated strong program coordination and administration abilities.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Project and Portfolio level software and reporting including, but not limited to, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, business analysis disciplines and processes, including requirements documentation and data, business and process modeling would be an asset.
- Demonstrated experience leading workshops, assembling, and conducting formal presentations.
- Can harness the expertise of business partners and project team members to generate ideas and solve issues.
- Experience engaged in business process improvement using Six Sigma techniques would be an asset.
