Vacancy Summary

Location: St. Lawrence School Vancouver, BC

Position: Full time (1.0 FTE) Head of Learning Support Center High School (grades 8-12)

Compensation Package: Hourly wage $45 - $55

Start Date: Immediately

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with internal and external community members.
- Understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in cross-cultural environments.
- Ability to be tactful, demonstrate excellent judgment, and work as a positive and collaborative team member.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, parents, staff, and community members.
- Ability to identify and assist students with emotional and other health concerns.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Well-organized, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures.
- Enjoy leadership in extra-curricular student-based activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other educational technology.
- Cover letter and resume listing special certificates, licenses, honours, and awards.
- Relevant special interests or activities for which afterschool club leadership could be considered.
