St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre is seeking a temp Full Time Recreation Programmer. We offer a competitive salary range between $24.50- $25.50 7.5 hour shifts, HOOPP Pension plan and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This is to cover a maternity leave which could be up to 18 months.

**Duties**:
Under the direction of the Director of Therapeutic Services; develops, implements and evaluates Resident Programmes; serves as an active member on committees as directed by the Programme Support Coordinator; coordinates the resident activities with other departments; provides support, guidance to volunteers and co-op students surrounding resident programming, safety and regulations. Assists in designing, publicizing, implementing and evaluating programs that meet the recreational and therapeutic needs; contributes to treatment plans, program development and evaluations; including but not limited to, care-planning and MDS. Utilizes community resources for outings and recreational programs within the Home; maintains proper resident and statistical records in accordance with policy and procedure; completes all required documentation and all other tasks assigned by the Director of Therapeutic Services.

**Qualifications**:
1. Degree or Diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies from a Post Secondary Institution or equivalent

2. Previous work experience in a long-term care setting

3. Must have the ability/requirements to document in RAI-MDS and Care-Plan

4. Demonstrates skill in group dynamics, communication and interpersonal relationships
