We are currently seeking a full-time, customer service oriented, dedicated, and knowledgeable full-time **Appliance, Flooring and Kitchen Sales Associate** in Airdrie AB

**About the Role**

Reporting to the General Manager, his is an exciting opportunity to lead the launch of a new Installed Sales Program for Kitchens, Flooring, and Appliances in an already well-established retail environment. You won’t be stepping into a fully built department — instead, you'll play a key role in building this category from the ground up. This is a great fit for someone who thrives on initiative, enjoys creating systems, and is motivated by the challenge of growing a new part of the business.

This role is responsible for promoting and selling products and installation services in the Kitchen, Flooring, and Appliance categories. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide quotes, and recommend product and design solutions that best suit their space. The position focuses on driving category growth by securing sales from both existing and prospective customers. You’ll also coordinate delivery and installation to ensure a seamless customer experience from start to finish. The key role responsibilities also include:
**Customer Service**
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service.
- Assist customers in locating, comparing, and selecting products to complete their projects.
- Address concerns, process returns/exchanges and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, staff, and installers.
- Coordinate installation work, including change orders, and maintain accurate project documentation.

**Sales**
- Engage customers with open-ended questions to assess needs and recommend suitable products.
- Present features, benefits, warranties, and installation requirements with confidence and clarity.
- Overcome objections and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Identify and refer cross-selling opportunities to other departments.
- Schedule and attend job site visits to assess installation needs.
- Prepare and present quotes, designs, and scope-of-work documents using HIP software.
- Process special orders and follow up with customers on product availability.

**Marketing & Merchandising**
- Set up and tear down promotional displays and signage.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing and signage for merchandise and promotions.
- Keep display samples, demo areas, and accessory storage clean and organized.

**Inventory & Ordering**
- Order and reorder merchandise in line with customer projects and store procedures.
- Check incoming shipments for accuracy and report issues as needed.
- Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory processes.
- Stay familiar with stock availability, shipping schedules, and incoming inventory.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Follow all store procedures related to loss prevention, invoicing, deliveries, and product handling.
- Use 20/20 design software for kitchen projects and support job quoting/order entry in HIP and Profit-Master.
- Represent the store at trade and home shows as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new products.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by the General Manager.

**What We’re Looking for in You**
- Appliance industry knowledge/flooring sales/experience and Kitchen design/materials
- High school diploma
- Web-based knowledge (researching specifications, warranties, appliance registrations, insurance coverage, features/benefits of the product, accessories).
