**Job summary**

As a Team Member in Packaging, you will play a crucial role in the production and packaging process within the organization. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

**As a Team Member, Packaging, you will be responsible for.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Packaging of cannabis products
- Labeling of cannabis products
- Conducting equipment cleaning within the packaging area
- Conducting general facility cleaning
- Line set-up/line clearance of daily packaging lines
- Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements
- Recognize unsafe conditions and practices, and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss
- Other duties as required

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise packaging.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- **Communication Skills**: Basic communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues.
- **Manual Dexterity**: Good manual dexterity and coordination for handling packaging materials and products.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move packages of various weights.
- Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
- Training in machinery operation and safety procedures will be provide

**You would be the best fit for this role if you are**
- Comfortable working with cannabis
- Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
- Comfortable working with step ladders (i.e. step ladder/single sided step ladder)
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Coveralls, hairnet, surgical mask or respirator and glove while working in a controlled environment.
- Able to lift 25 Kgs/50 lbs the ground to xx height
- **This role is in one of Aurora’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.**
