**Job Description: Logistics Specialist**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Shipment Coordination**:

- Planning and organizing the transportation of goods, selecting the most cost-effective and efficient modes of transport, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Monitor and track the status of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process.

**Documentation and Compliance**:

- Prepare and manage shipping documentation (POD’s), including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and export/import documentation. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing transportation and logistics.

**Inventory Management**:

- Work closely with warehouse personnel to manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock levels and picking activities.
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.

**Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues.
- Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to logistics and transportation.

**Cost Management**:

- Optimize transportation costs by negotiating with carriers and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze transportation expenses to ensure budget compliance.

**Technology Utilization**:

- Utilizing logistics management software and technologies to streamline processes, track shipments, and analyze data for continuous improvement.

**Risk Management**:

- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate these risks, such as creating contingency plans for unexpected disruptions.

**Problem Resolution**:

- Proactively identify potential issues in the logistics process and implement solutions to prevent delays or disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve logistics-related.

**KPI’s**:

- On-Time LTL performance Ninety-five percent
- Percentage of orders that are fulfilled accurately.
- Ninety-five percent pick up performance.
- Supplier Performance deliveries and pickups on time
- The average cost incurred for each shipment (Includes transportation, handling, and other related costs).
- Percentage of warehouse space utilized 80-90%.
- Inventory accuracy within the warehouse
- Process Management and adherence for picking, dispatching etc.

Pay: $17.47-$33.68 per hour
