The Coast is hiring for an Event Coordinator who can help organize and run our events

We put on some of the biggest events and festivals in the city, including Oyster Fest and Burger Bash.

**What you'll do**:

- Oversee our events and make them run perfectly.
- Take crazy ideas and bring them to life.
- Book everything needed for an event (venue, speakers, entertainers, photographer, caterer, etc).
- Maintain the event budget and schedules (run of show, promotional schedule, etc).
- Work with and meet some of the coolest and most interesting people in the world.

**Logistics**:

- You're based in Halifax / the HRM.
- You're a contractor, paid per event. Could be a full-time job at some point.
- You'll manage one event per month, maybe two, maybe more.
- You'll work on your own time leading up to the event, but you'll be at every event from setup to takedown.

**How we'll work together**:

- Mainly via Slack and ClickUp, and the odd phone and video call here and there. Maybe an IRL meetup too.
- You'll have access to anyone at our company to help make an event a success.

**We're looking for someone who is**:

- Super organized.
- A real people person.
- Really professional.
- Cool under pressure and can handle 100 things thrown at you at once.
- Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
