- Samaritan Place and The Hospice at Glengarda, Emmanuel Health organizations, provide long-term & hospice care to over 100 residents. The Staff Scheduler position is responsible for providing scheduling and administration to the leadership team. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to the filing of correspondence, maintaining consistent and up-to-date filing systems, data entry, and drafting reports. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of preliminary timesheets, while assuring compliance with the applicable collective bargaining agreements, federal and provincial regulations, and company policies.

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the primary staff schedule of Samaritan Place and Hospice for short call and ongoing scheduling requirements. The incumbent manages the day-to-day workflow and replaces staff as required, ensuring procedures are in place and maintained. The Staff Scheduler demonstrates effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, with moderate conflict management and resolution skills. This role provides timely staff replacement, while responding to numerous requests for information in a busy environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Business certificate and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Experience**:

- Synerion scheduling and ADP payroll experience would be an asset.
- Scheduling experience in a unionized healthcare environment would be an asset.

- Proficient in computerized scheduling programs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Moderate interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Moderate problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated scheduling experience
- Must possess moderate oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in grief support, conflict resolution, and emotional care
- Experience coordinating volunteers and leading prayer services
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Understanding of the mission and values of Catholic healthcare

**Pay Range**: Pay band 2 as per Provincial Out-of-Scope Employees Pay Schedule | Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations Inc.
