**How you will Impact PLATFORM** - Produce financial projections, forecasts, analysis and supporting documentation. - Lead and mentor a team of finance individuals - Provide information and analysis on budgets and forecasts. - Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. - Provide strategic financial analysis as required to drive improved decision making. - Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information. - Provide advice and guidance on all accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting. - Manage the accounting operations including the review of journal entries and statutory reporting. - Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory and company policies and procedures including issuance of credit cards and banking activity. - Work with stakeholders to define, measure, analyze, improve and control current processes which impact customer quality and influence internal operating efficiency. - Set the priorities within the accounting and finance groups. - Work with the CFO on the formulation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. - Manage corporate cash flows. - Organize and prepare the annual company budget, consolidated across all departments. - Analysis of performance against budgets - Oversee preparation for year-end audits, including year-end working papers and communication with external auditors. - Oversee preparation of the company’s Annual Regulatory Report. - Determine and manage delivery of service standards for all accounting staff. - Respond to information requests from external parties including internal auditors and appointed actuary. - Manage relationships, contracts and contacts with banks, credit card companies and other vendors. - Understand and organize large amounts of data and use it in the analysis and interpretation of results. - Ensure quarterly debt and covenant compliance with lenders; assist and support the CFO - Lead the integration of newly acquired business partners. - Work with businesses on other external systems to understand their chart of accounts and bring their financial activity - Support Finance in ad hoc analysis and other strategic priorities - Finance lead for M&A financial due diligence **Education, Experience, and Qualifications** - Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance - Professional Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) - 8+ years of Accounting experience (within the Insurance industry is preferred) - 5+ years of progressive management experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail **What we can Offer** PLATFORM offers competitive salaries and benefit plans.
