Airworthiness Specialist

Field Aviation (aka Field Aerospace), a global provider of aircraft integration, modification, maintenance, logistics and sustainment solutions is in search of a highly motivated, hands-on professional for the position of Airworthiness Specialist. This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
**General Duties**:
- Develop/coordinate airworthiness certification documentation and liaise with company Design Approval Delegates, external Design Approval Representatives, Transport Canada and foreign airworthiness certification engineers and technical coordinators in support of Field Aviation design approval projects.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Develop certification/substantiation documentation;
- Coordinate the completion of certification/substantiation documentation;
- Review internal certification documentation for accuracy and content;
- Determine extent of affected airworthiness standards, proposed basis of certification and means of compliance with affected standards;
- Remain current with respect to Transport Canada and Foreign airworthiness standards;
- Participate in and contribute to discussions surrounding project related airworthiness planning;
**Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum of (7) years progressive aerospace engineering experience in modification design and Supplemental Type Certificate development.
- Familiarity with FAA FAR Part 25 and Transport Canada AWM 525.
- Familiarity with FAA and Transport Canada aircraft certification guidance and policy documents.

**Education**:
- Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Degree or Aeronautical Engineering Technology diploma.
- Successful completion of the Transport Canada Aircraft Certification Specialty course and Changed product rule - specialist training.
