**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Chinook Valley Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Summer Student Intern to support the Residential Estate team with a variety of tasks. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a family, rural environment.
- All employees must ensure everything read and heard in the line of duty is kept strictly confidential. A legally binding Confidentiality Agreement will be required.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

- Attend morning brief with the Residential team to discuss daily roll-out;
- Prepare fishing and tackle gear in accordance with Principal(s)’ and Kid’s needs;
- Check barbecues daily to make sure they are clean and turned off;
- Prepare and provide service for staff barbeque functions and events;
- Ensure all irrigation is run every other day, and water plants around the Main House and surrounding areas;
- Water all flower beds and cold frame flowers beginning at the Main House and extending outward;
- Water all hanging baskets based on weather conditions, checking hydration of the baskets daily;
- Dead-head flowers in hanging baskets around the Main House and the Ranch regularly and when necessary;
- Water areas around the Main Barn, the various cottages ad well as the Greenhouse flowers;
- Check tennis courts for debris and cleanliness daily;
- Maintain the golf green, ensuring cleanliness and stock of clubs, stock of golf balls, etc;
- Complete Friday’s floral pick-up for the Main House;
- Complete any last minute or unscheduled pick-ups within Calgary or surrounding area;
- Complete mowing and general landscaping duties as assigned;
- Conduct regular maintenance on 3-point mower;
- Maintain positive relationships with Principal(s), managers, the Chinook Valley team, and industry peers;
- Provide support to Principal(s) for special projects at request; and
- All other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
To meet the challenge of this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter who works well in high levels of autonomy.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed for any errands that need to be run utilizing personal vehicle.
- Interest in working outdoors.
- Interest in completing a wide variety of tasks.
