Alberta Innovates is seeking an Associate Vice President, Corporate Marketing for our Marketing & Communications team. This position will provide brand and marketing strategy to advance the Corporation’s mission as the engine of Alberta’s innovation system and to achieve mid-term enterprise and program objectives. This role supports the Vice President, Marketing & Communications in developing and growing brand assets, creative marketing communications campaigns and collaborative ecosystem partnerships.

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Communication, the successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Develop and grow Alberta Innovates' brand value and investor network through tailored content marketing and strategy.
Lead creative campaigns to strengthen the company's reputation and support among stakeholders.
Promote public awareness of corporate and subsidiary brands through strategic cross-marketing and digital-first communications.
Build partner communities and co-develop marketing opportunities for greater impact.
Attract corporate capital for innovation system/community development.
Convert thought leadership into knowledge products to amplify Alberta's innovation capabilities.
Differentiate corporate capabilities within provincial and national innovation ecosystems.
Identify and recognize market trends relevant to Alberta Innovates' role and programs.
Understand stakeholder needs for innovation system programs and services.
Support B2B growth strategy for InnoTech and C-FER through strategic marketing.
Develop joint marketing initiatives with ecosystem partners and funded consortia.
Ensure program brands are consistent with the overarching Alberta Innovates strategy.
Establish department portfolio priorities and maintain high performance and engagement of team members.
Build strategies with business objectives that drive revenue.
Incorporate brand, opinion, and influencer research to inform division strategies and initiatives.
Provide expert guidance to leaders in design, implementation, and measurement of integrated business communications supporting key programs and strategic initiatives.

**Qualifications and skills we are looking for**:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, Political Science, Humanities, an Graduate degree is preferred
Minimum 10 to 15 years working in multi-sector marketing, brand and communications.
Keen knowledge of customer segmentation and sales funnel activation
Demonstrated experience developing brand assets, marketing strategies and
campaigns that deliver business results
Knowledge of civic organizations and community development networks combined
with co-marketing and partner development experience
Experience in building high trust relationships with people across sectors and
organizational roles
Background in sustainability/ESG and communications best practices.
Awareness of the government policy agenda and expectations related to the
provincial innovation ecosystem and Alberta Innovates
Demonstrate the ability to adapt B2B and B2C marketing operations practices and principles to a crown
