Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Technician to join our team. The Accounting Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting and financial operations, performing a variety of tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and contribute to the success of the firm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Prepare personal income tax returns, sole proprietors, rental schedules, and employment expenses
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Prepare compilation, review and audit engagement files, including financial statements Making adjustments to client provided information
- Provide full cycle bookkeeping for corporate clients as required
- Prepare GST returns and reconcile GST balances
- Prepare T4's, T'5s, and T3 slips
- Communicate with clients to identify discrepancies and missing information

**Qualifications**:

- CA or CPA designation not required but preferred
- 3 - 5 years recent experience in public practice in Canada
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
