**About the Role**

At AD Café, mornings begin with artisanal coffee and pastries, while evenings evolve into a wine and cocktail lounge with a curated menu. As Barista & Café Service, you will not only prepare exceptional espresso drinks and beverages but also serve pastries and light fare, care for each table, and create a warm, elevated guest experience throughout the day.

**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while delivering high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience at our establishment.

**What you will do**
- Prepare and serve specialty coffees, teas, and a variety of hot and cold beverages (including alcoholic) to AD Café’s standards
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Serve pastries, café fare, sandwiches and light dishes, and support food service with precision and care
- Deliver complete service: guest welcome, table setup, food and beverage service, and table clearing
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently, while engaging with customers in a friendly manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and readiness of the café stations, tables, and bar areas to adhere to food and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours for seamless service.
- Engage guests with attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism
- Support the daily transition of AD Café from a morning café to an evening wine and cocktail lounge
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory management
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards

**What you bring**
- Previous experience as a Barista and/or Server in a high-end café, boutique hotel, or fine dining setting for minimum of 3 years
- Expertise in espresso techniques, latte art, and modern brewing methods
- Strong knowledge of café service and an interest in wine and cocktails
- Knowledge of cocktails and wines is an asset
- A passion for hospitality, food, and creating memorable guest moments and willingness to learn about new products and techniques.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
