**The Position**

We are looking for a passionate, experienced **teacher**who has a strong background in Mathematics and can tutor high school students in Grade 9-Grade 12 (including Functions, Calculus, etc.)This position will be completely remote and all tutoring will be done online. We are looking for **current teachers**who are in **good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.**

**Your Role**:

- Provide online Math tutoring sessions through our online learning video platform to high-school students in Ontario
- Observe and evaluate a student's skill level to determine progress and work towards improvement with the help of our tutoring program
- Work alongside parents/guardians to create a personal academic plan or timeline for the student
- Help students in their area of need such as homework completion, getting ahead in class, learning new concepts, etc.
- Be able to relate to the students and act as a mentor to them

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in English
- A registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
- Prior math tutoring or teaching experience in Ontario is required
- Have access to a computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection
- Be available during some weeknights (past 4 PM) and weekends

**Tutoring Sessions**
Tutors can create their own schedules based on client preference and personal preference. Tutors can accept and decline tutoring opportunities but should be available to work with a minimum of 5 clients.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

**Experience**:

Licence/Certification:

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree of Education (required)
- OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher) (required)
