**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assess students’ individual learning needs and, when applicable, develop customized lesson and instructional materials plans based on educational standards to address specific academic challenges.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in high school computer science topics such as programming, algorithms, and data management.
- Explain coding and technical concepts in clear, age-appropriate language that supports classroom learning.
- Help students complete school assignments, debug code, and prepare for quizzes, projects, and exams.
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans and practice exercises that build problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Track student progress and give constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Assist students in developing effective study habits, time management skills, and test-taking strategies.
- Maintain accurate records, communicate progress with parents or teachers when needed, and uphold academic integrity.

**Qualifications**
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with students in an educational setting.
- OCT certification and/or experience working with students with special needs is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs and preferences.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online tutoring platforms when applicable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking student progress and maintaining records.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules.
- A background check may be required prior to employment.

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
