Youth Care Worker

Details:

- Shift work rotation will be 3pm-12am school days and 12pm-12am weekends and non-school days. Rotation schedule includes alternate weekends
- Group home setting for youth age 12-15
- Must hold a class 5 minimum novice 2 license
- A criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check will be required

**Duties**:

- Provide supervision and guidance to youth in a safe and supportive environment
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for children
- Assist with homework and life skills
- Foster positive relationships with youth and promote social-emotional development
- Maintain a clean and organized space
- Establish and maintain healthy professional boundaries
- All staff must be able to drive up to 5 youth in our vehicle. A class 5 minimum novice 2 license is required to add staff to our insurance

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with children or youth in an similar setting
- Ability to engage and connect with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors

**Salary**: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
