**The Position**:As we are expanding our field of operations, we are in need of more motivated and hardworking crew members to join our team. The Trenchless Ground Crew (Construction Labourer) position is responsible for assisting in the timely and technical execution of installations, as a part of the operations team on project sites.
Trenchless Ground Crew (Construction Labourers) will have the opportunity to work with equipment used in Micro Tunneling, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Auger Boring, and Direct Pipe trenchless installations.
Opportunities are currently available at various project locations across BC and Alberta.
Compensation includes:
- Equitable pay based on experience, plus applicable overtime

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain cleanliness / organization / stock of parts container and tool container
- Remove/Install cables on spools during de mob / mob.
- Efficiently pull and install tunneling utility lines (electrical cables, slurry lines, hydraulics)
- Effectively connect / install victaulic clamps and hydraulic connections
- Rig, hoist, and direct lifting equipment
- Load and unload trucks
- Maintain, clean, and refurbish equipment
- Effectively pack and secure pallets / boxes / cages
- Connect internal and external brackets for utility lines
- Inspect, connect, and install airlines
- Fill out required paperwork, such as Field Level Hazard Assessments, HID cards.
- Knowledge & ability to operate air compressor, pumps, arial lift, generators etc.
**Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Basic mechanical/electrical skills
- Operate power / hand tools safely and with skill
- The ability to determine the necessary tools for assigned tasks
- The ability to troubleshoot a problem based on experience and applicable trade knowledge
- Good work ethic, ability to work long hours (12-hour shift work) Rotating nights and days.
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Clearly spot vehicles and equipment, and communicate using basic hand signals
- Understand use of and clearly communicate on two-way radios.
- Identify lifting points on equipment, able to safely rig equipment / pipe for lifting
- Previous experience in tunneling, general construction, or oil field work
- Contribute to a safe working environment
- WHIMIS, First Aid, CSTS or PCST, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Fall Arrest / Fall Protection
- Drug and Alcohol clearance
- Valid Drivers License

- Travel is required in this position.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Employee will be required to work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat
- Required to work in confined spaces (42-inch or 46-inch pipe)
