**Role and responsibilities**
- Drive the 20ft truck (Class-5 permit);
- Make trips between the Cook it warehouse and our suppliers to transport food products;
- Ensure cargo is secured in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods;
- Know the laws and regulations related to driving safely;
- Ensure the truck and trailers are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times;
- Perform a pre-departure inspection of the truck;
- Complete the driver's logbook on a daily basis;
- Adhere to safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
**Related tasks**:
- Support the warehouse team with related departmental tasks during non-delivery periods;
- All other related tasks.
**Please note that we are searching for**:
- Someone who is reliable in terms of attendance and time management; the transportation of certain goods is critical to our operations.
- Someone with a flexible schedule; pick-ups and traffic must be taken into consideration.
