Childcare Assistant

**THIS IS A FULL TIME ONGOING POSITION ** MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A LICENSED CENTRE AND INFANT/TODDLER EXPERIENCE IS A MUST**

1. **RECE wage $20-$22.50 hourly includes govt bonus (based on experience)**

2. **Assistant wage $18-$20 hourly includes govt bonus. (based on experience ) IN order for staff to get $20 they must be enrolled in the ECE program already.**

**Benefits avail to staff (MEDICAL AND DENTAL) on an as needed basis in the form of a cash health spending account. This is a true benefit as staff do not contribute. (avail after one year of non probationary employment)**

**3 weeks paid vacation including 1 week closure (Christmas Break) after 1 year employment**

**GREAT WORKING HOURS AS OUR CENTRE IS ONLY OPEN 7:30-5:30 each day.**

** An opportunity to enroll in the Early Childhood Education Apprentice program for FREE**

**Staff must be available for a full time shift Monday - Friday and be able to work anytime from 8:00am-5:30 pm daily.. (NO STUDENTS IN FULL TIME SCHOOL PLEASE)**

**Playcare Early Learning centre** Inc is a small Licenced Centre in the heart of Maple. It’s no secret that teachers spend more time at work than they do at home and therefore we believe that staff should LOVE their job. We are an established Childcare with very low staff turnover.

We have four groups in our Centre and they are:

- Infant
- Toddler
- Junior Preschool
- Senior Preschool

You will provide nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting You will help children to learn and grow with our personalized curriculum which includes, artistic expression, music, movement, science and exploration, and language A typical day may be filled with reading stores, teaching songs, caring for kids preparing craft materials and much more

Location: Playcare Early Learning Centre Inc. 1530 Major Mackenzie Drive Unit 8

Position : Registered Early Childhood Educators, Educators in training and assistants.

We are also accredited with The Ministry of training in the Early Childhood Apprentice Program. Our qualified assistants can obtain their ECE for FREE by doing the Apprentice program. As an added bonus all your hours that are worked in our Centre are counted towards your Placement hours, so you are paid to learn.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience is a licenced setting
- Preference given to those who register with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Holder of a valid Standard First Aid /CPR-C Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Technology proficient
- Ability to develop and deliver quality programming to children
- Ability to work a rotating shift between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pmand attend a monthly staff meeting
- Ability to maintain heavy physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
