Founded in 1988, STF Construction Ltd. is a fully bonded, pre-qualified contractor for numerous public and private local school boards, government agencies, area universities, and large property managers and developers in the Hamilton and surrounding area.

**Key Responsibilities**

Ø Liaising between the company and consultants and subtrades

Ø Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants and subtrades

Ø Conducts a detailed analysis of the contract documents and specifications, to determine overall project requirements (bonding, insurance, etc.) and identifies any associated risk factors, including the monitoring of published addenda's that may alter the original scope of the project.

Ø Review site documentation for completeness and accuracy

Ø Providing independent review and analysis of construction activities

Ø Integrating construction requirements and activities, ensuring acceptable working and operating conditions

Ø Representing the company at site meetings

Ø Complete meeting minutes

Ø Monitoring company performance

Ø Establishes a critical path schedule on the estimated milestone progress dates and completion timelines in order to meet the contract completion dates.

Ø Assist to establish purchase orders and subcontracts for new projects

Ø Complete any pre-qualification tenders / packages

Ø Maintaining project construction files and regular project progress reports

Ø Observing and inspecting quality of construction and providing direction to subcontractors and/or consultants to ensure quality issues are corrected

Ø Monitoring actual and projected construction costs as well as any potential deviations from the approved construction budget

Ø Coordination of subtrades and all related documentation

Ø Ensuring timely completion of deficiency lists and monitoring completion and deficiencies

Ø Tracking warranty periods and scheduling review inspections

Ø Monitoring and facilitating compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act

**Knowledge and Skills**

Ø College diploma in Construction Management/Construction Technology and/or a combination of related industry experience

Ø Ability to read and comprehend architectural and engineering drawings and specifications

Ø Solid applied knowledge of applicable construction related legislation (e.g. the Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction Lien Act)

Ø Demonstrated construction project coordination

Ø Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally, strong interpersonal skills

Ø Keen eye for detail and familiarity with architectural assemblies and finishes

Ø Ability to provide firm direction to a variety of consultants and subcontractors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
