Custodian janitor

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive work instructions from Lead/Charge-hand/Supervisor/Foreman
- Essential Services for plant and grounds
- Removal of waste from buildings and grounds using appropriate equipment and disposal procedures
- Ensure bathrooms and cafeteria are kept clean to public health standards
- Keep doorway and building trances free from snow and ice
- Move and install office furniture, files, cabinets, equipment when required
- Painting of walls, ceilings, floors and barriers
- Assist with product show set-ups as required
- Maintain a clean work area using 5S methodology
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

**Working Conditions**:

- Extreme temperatures (heat/cold)
- High noise levels
- Fumes, vapors, and gases

**Qualifications**:

- Aptitude for hand and power tools
- Ability to work safely and inform Supervision of anything unusual or unsafe
- Must be able to plan work and perform jobs with mínimal supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Know and understand WHMIS labeling system
- Shift work required

**Salary**: $16.83-$23.15 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
