Full-time - Open until filled - Starts: ASAP**The Position**:
The Career Advisor provides a key role in the Career Centre, bringing awareness and programming to the entire Redeemer University undergraduate population and formal support to Redeemer alumni. Reporting to the Director of the Career Centre, the Career Advisor interacts directly with students and individuals who are provided personal strengths awareness, job readiness skills, work search and career preparation programming, and coordination of various related events on
- and off-campus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interacts with students, individually and in groups, including workshops and classrooms
- Determines programming and resources that support the dual aims of job readiness and career awareness
- Designs workshops, develops related materials, promotes events, and executes delivery of same
- Evaluates program offerings to ensure service quality
- Responsible for counselling students in regards to their preparation and determination of their giftedness and calling
- Contributes to the overall success of the Career Centre by interacting with colleagues in the Centre and throughout the institution
- Participates in professional organizations such as CACEE, representing Redeemer University

**Preferred Skills and Attributes**:

- Ability and experiences in matters related to career development, supporting students and recent alumni
- Ability to relate to both students and employers
- Strong communication abilities (factual, active listening, persuasive, and empathetic)
- Organizational skills, including time and program management

**Education, Training & Certifications**:
Bachelors Degree; active involvement in either H.R.P. A. or C.C.D.F.

**Other Requirements**:
Understanding of Redeemer University (mission, values, and Reformed Christian identity)
