Job description

**Sunshower Sprinklers is hiring a Landscape Irrigation Technician.**

**We are growing fast and looking to hire 2 technicians to join our team. Landscape and Irrigation is an asset but we are willing to train the right people. In order to succeed you must be mechanically inclined, like to tinker and fix electronics and have the drive to learn and move up within a company.**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

  • Servicing Underground Sprinkler Systems in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. This will include:
  • Activating Commercial and Residential Underground Irrigation Systems Inspecting systems for optimal performance and coverage
  • Checking the Controller for optimal programming and functionality
  • Troubleshooting and Repairing Underground Irrigation Systems as required
  • Maintaining contact with our service clients, providing estimates for repairs, and assisting them with any questions they may have regarding their irrigation system
  • Tracking Parts used during repairs, and maintaining a van full of service parts
  • Winterizing Irrigation Systems in the fall

**Qualifications and Experience**

  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Irrigation installation or service experience is an asset but not required
  • Irrigation Association or manufacturer certifications are an asset
  • Must enjoy working outside
  • Must enjoy troubleshooting/problem solving
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be physically fit as there will be digging of holes and trenches involved.
  • Work well independently
  • Knowledge in the use of smart phones/ tablets as all of our work orders are completed using a tablet

**Compensation package** will be hourly $23-$28, company vehicle including bonuses based on experience, Group Insurance & RRSP plan.

In the winter months some of our techs plow snow in the winter and others take the winter off.
