**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Finance and Database Assistant (4 Months)**

**Reporting to**: Finance Manager**

**Finance and Administrative duties**:
Work directly with the _Finance Manager_ to support the finance and operations of the foundation. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Accounts Payable - Verify coding of expenses and preparation of cheques.
- Bank Deposits
- Assist with reconciliation of monthly Visa reports.
- Salesforce input, management & donor management support
- Back up bookkeeping and scanning of journal entries into QuickBooks.
- Salesforce data management
- Preparation of GST/HST return (bi-annually)
- Assist with preparation of Charity Tax Return with the CRA & 990 (IRS)
- Budget template creation
- General financial support of JCF events
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in University or College education in Finance & Accounting, or related area of study.
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Expert in Excel & knowledge of QuickBooks an asset
- Knowledge of Salesforce for Non-profit an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized, excellent as the development of systems and processes
- Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines.
- Team player and ability to see the big picture goals of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
