The Bear Smart Program Assistant provides public education for bear management priorities and issues to deliver commitments related to the RMOW’s status as a provincially designated Bear Smart Community. The Program Assistant will deliver a work plan designed to reduce human bear conflict as well as respond to ongoing bear management issues. On a regular basis, the Bear Smart Program Assistant will attend interest group and partner meetings, public functions, and event/trade show booths.

As a requirement of the position, the successful applicant must hold a valid BC class 5 driver’s license and must provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract prior to starting employment.
