**Toronto High Park FC (“THPFC” or “the Club”)**

Role: Intern, Grassroots

**I. Overview**

The intern, Grassroots is a valuable assistant member of the THPFC team. The primary
responsibilities are to assist the Manager of Grassroots (MOG) with tasks that aim to
successfully plan and deliver our soccer programs offered within the High Park
community.

**II. Responsibilities**

1. Assist MOG with main responsibilities
- Working with the MOG; organizing and ordering team uniforms, and

equipment ahead of the Summer season.
- Assist with event planning for House League and Special Program

events.
- Rostering and scheduling for recreational programs ahead of the

season.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure that all orders and

administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner (TeamSnap,
PowerUp, Google Drive).
- Assist with recruitment and organization of Volunteer Committee.
- Special projects as determined by the Club.

**III. Direct Reports**
- The Intern, Grassroots will report directly to the Manager of Grassroots (MOG).

**IV. Competencies Required**

The Intern, Grassroots should be punctual, professional, approachable, responsive,
passionate, show a strong commitment towards self-improvement, and be able to
communicate efficiently to the club’s team members and stakeholders.

**V. Qualifications & Requirements**
- Must be receiving course credit for completing this internship
- Coaching qualifications will be considered.
- Relevant experience in people management, administration,
- community relations, and event management- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with a variety of diverse stakeholders and partners.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) including public
- speaking.- Availability on weekdays to attend events.
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire others in fulfilling the team’s goals
- and objectives.- Experience working within a sports organization will be considered.
- Proficient in Google Drive (Sheets, Gmail, Forms, etc.)
