The Driver/warehouse position is a combination of multiple responsibilities involving every aspect of local branch operations to meet customer requirements. Tasks involve manual tasks or operation of material handling equipment within a warehouse environment, filling orders and delivering product to customers, accurately completing documentation pertaining to receipt, inventory, and delivery of product. Union warehouse and benifits and pension would be provided after introductory period.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Material Handling Equipment operation: Safely operate Forklift and Order Picker to load and/or unload trucks, move product through the warehouse, and stock and or pull parts to maintain adequate inventory levels within the warehouse
- Manually move and stock parts weighing up to 50 lbs into designated locations to maintain inventory accuracy and ease of access to the correct glass size and type
- Fulfillment of customer orders, by insuring accuracy in pulling the order, staging the order, and order documentation—as well as loading the delivery trucks to maintain customer satisfaction
- Delivery of product to customers, safely driving PGW delivery trucks to efficiently meet customer requirements for service and delivery

The driver/warehouse person must safely and efficiently perform all essential tasks on a regular basis to receive, stock, pick, pack, stage, and deliver product that meets customer requirements for quality, service, and delivery.

Incumbents must certify on all PGW material handling equipment to meet safety standards and WCB compliance; quality and safety goals must be obtained for the various tasks performed; computer-based equipment is utilized regular for this position as well; the employee maintains accurate records o all customer transactions, including shipping tickets, delivery logs sheets, customer return forms, and driver safety records;
This position interacts regularly with customers and other PGW personnel, and periodically with competitors, therefore it requires professional appearance and behavior; maintaining customer service focus and positive problem resolution skills will be very beneficial in this role.

Essential functions of the job include: lifting glass up to 50 lbs unassisted, certifying on—and operating all material handling equipment in the warehouse, maintaining driving records in compliance with DOT requirements, maintain the ability to drive varying distances from 30 minutes up to eight-hours, with multiple stops and repeat routes; communicating verbally with coworkers and management to insure task completion, visual monitoring of glass for recognized glass defects, read and understand rack location system, meet quality, productivity and safety performance goals, and operate computers as needed. Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision and make sound judgment on buyouts, returns and handling other general customer complaints.

**Applicants must be 18 years of age or older**. High school diploma or equivalent is required, previous experience in a warehouse/distribution center operating powered industrial material handling equipment is preferred. **Must also produce a clean drivers abstract.**
