**Job Posting: Project Coordinator,**Part-time (20 hours per week)
**Summary of the Position**
We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Project Coordinator to support the National Cultural Brokers’ Project and growth and development of theCBNC (Cultural Brokers Network of Canada) **-**a newly established, member-led national network dedicated to supporting, connecting, and empowering cultural brokers across Canada while addressing systemic gaps in services and access. This dynamic role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a proactive, innovative mindset. As Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in securing funding, developing grant proposals, coordinating national partnerships, and contributing to the long-term sustainability of the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Research public/private sector funding opportunities.
- Assist in budgeting and monitor financial reporting related to proposals.
- Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, businesses, and key stakeholders.
- Represent CBNC at public events, meetings, and conferences.
- Coordinate the implementation and evaluation of CBNC initiatives.
- Ensure smooth administration and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Help build internal systems and structures for long-term sustainability.
- Assist leadership with strategic planning and organizational documentation.
- Track progress and prepare regular updates and impact reports.
- Collaborate with an external evaluator to assess and improve program effectiveness.
- Prepare communication materials, reports, and presentations.
- Manage scheduling, correspondence, and logístical support for the team.
- Uphold all privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and organizational policies.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in project coordination, fundraising, or community development.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or fundraising in non-profit or community sectors.
- Demonstrated success in securing funding and writing grants.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with community engagement, public relations, or fundraising campaigns.
- Familiarity with non-profit structures and governance.
- Understanding of Canada’s immigrant/refugee settlement processes and experience working with diverse communities.
**Working Conditions**
- Hybrid role: onsite in a shared office and remote
- Some evening and weekend work to support community events
- Job Type: Part-time, contract (three-year term)
- Hourly Rate: $32.50 - $34.00/hour, commensurate with experience
