Applicants must enjoy working with seniors and be committed to providing a safe and healthy environment with quality care for our residents. If you enjoy cooking, are a hardworking individual, a quick learner and enjoy working with people than this may be the right job for you The Assistant Cook will: - prepare nutritious, appealing meals and desserts for residents (home-style meals - Entrees, Soups, Salads, Desserts mainly from scratch) - Follow the public health as well as department guidelines and food safety codes - Be Customer Service oriented, have a superior work ethic and a positive attitude - Have the ability to meet the demands of this moderately physical role - Always respect the Bethany Manor Mission and Values The position has some part time hours with opportunity to pick up casual call in and scheduled hours. There also may be opportunity for advancement to Full Time status. This position requires scheduling during weekdays and weekends, working every other weekend will be required. We offer competitive wages and opportunity for advancement with benefits. The Applicant will have: - Food Safe Certificate - Minimum of Grade 10 education - Criminal record check (abstract) requiredl - Quantity Food or other cooking experience - Journeyman Cook Certificate is considered an asset **Job Types**: Part-time plus Casual hours available **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 4 hour shift - 8 hour shift
