**Job Summary**
The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the depot, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and managing a team to meet production goals. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and logistics processes. The Depot Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards while optimizing workflow and productivity.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day operations of the depot, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff in the safe operation of equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment.
- Oversee order picking, packaging, and loading/unloading processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to align production schedules with warehouse capabilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices for warehouse organization and layout to enhance productivity.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role within distribution or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various types of warehouse equipment safely.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on order picking, packaging, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction processes is a plus but not mandatory.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards within the workplace. This position offers an opportunity for growth within the organization while contributing to the success of our depot operations through effective management practices.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
