Jr. to Mid- Level Legal Counsel

OVERVIEW

Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure LLC (GSI) is a renewable energy company focused on the development, construction and operation of distributed generation and utility-scale solar energy and battery storage projects in North America. GSI is the North American renewable energy subsidiary of Libra Group, a privately owned, global business group with assets and operations in nearly 60 countries.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing various types of documentation, which may include options to lease, title clearing documents, PPAs, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, loan agreements, M&A agreements, JV agreements, governance agreements and general corporate agreements and documents.
- corresponding with external legal counsel and third parties and providing timely support to GSI’s business lines; and
- support on other legal matters and transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- LLB or JD from an accredited law school with bar admission in Ontario or another Province.
- minimum of 2-4 years of legal experience at a leading law firm or in-house.
- experience in some or all of diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing options to lease, title clearing, PPA, EPC, O&M, project finance, M&A, JV, governance and general corporate documentation.
- preferably experience in renewable energy.
- commercial astuteness and motivated by the work that you do.
- ability to manage a high volume of legal matters and
- ability to work collaboratively and independently.
