Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator for Sable Warehousing is responsible for the safe operation of a forklift in a warehouse environment, as well as other tasks related to the receiving, picking, and loading orders.

**How You’ll Help**
- Receiving incoming shipments for various clients, which includes the safe operation of a forklift as well as validating inventory accuracy and product condition
- Legible and accurate preparation of warehouse receipt documents
- Stacking and racking bulk orders in a safe and orderly fashion
- Picking orders in a timely and accurate manner from Bills of Lading
- Proofing work of orders picked to verify accuracy
- Unloading case good from containers
- Preparing and loading orders to meet client commitments
- Counting and documenting inventory on regular cycles and as otherwise may be required
- Ensuring safety procedures are followed and good housekeeping is maintained at all times
- Other related duties as may be required.

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- Forklift training and valid certification
- Minimum of three years’ experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse or cross dock operation.
- Previous experience picking orders a strong asset
- Good communication skills, including the ability to read Bills of Lading and complete related documentation
- Strong sense of customer service
- Ability to work well and safely under deadlines and pressure
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
- English, other languages an asset
- Independent contributor; able to work with little supervision
