We support continued professional development and encourage professional and personal growth through our "FR Academy", a learning management system offering a variety of online educational modules that cater to enhancing our internal training and learning culture. **Intellectual Property / Trademark Legal Assistant Job Description**: **Duties and Responsibilities**: - Facilitates file opening and client intake process; - Updates client billing information, including special billing instructions; - Coordinates all month end billing, docket entry, generating and editing prebills, and preparing invoices for client distribution; - Assists with the lawyers practice management, including calendar management, bring forwards, and ensuring deadlines are being addressed; - Provides assistance to others during absences as needed; and - Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications**: - Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant, experience with IP / trademark law, legal procedures, and protocols; - Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk Diploma preferred; - Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines and manage a high volume desk; - Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Calendar); - Experience in AltLegal Trademark Docketing Software considered an asset; - Familiarity with Aderant, or other legal accounting software; - Excellent oral and written communication skills; - Client-service oriented; - Ability to work within a team environment and independently; and - Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. **Want to join our FR team?** **Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Life insurance - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care - Wellness program - Work from home Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - IP/Trademark Legal: 3 years (required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
