**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct **Openroom tribunal checks** (tenant/landlord tribunal history) to identify potential red flags.
- Verify applicants’ **income-to-rent ratio** and evaluate against our underwriting guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the tenant approval process and maintain service-level standards.
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and rationales for audit and compliance purposes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting guidelines, risk assessment tools, and workflows.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in underwriting, credit assessment, financial services, or rental housing preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with tenant screening, income verification, and tribunal/court record checks an asset.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficient in using digital tools, CRM systems, or underwriting platforms.
