In support of this vision, Sinai Health is looking for a Technician III to join its Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
- Patient Services team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Performing phlebotomy on patients in ambulatory laboratories
- Accessioning and processing specimens collected in ambulatory laboratories
- Performing special procedure tests (glucose tolerances, glucose challenge tests, breath hydrogen tests)
- Handling cash/debit/credit card transactions for patients paying for non insured testing
- Job Requirements- Certification of Medical Laboratory Assistant (OSMT)
- Graduate of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
- 2 years of recent experience in phlebotomy techniques (preferred)
- Proficiency in the use of Laboratory Information System, MS Office (Word, Excel) (preferred)
- Knowledgeable in safety practices when handling biological specimens
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and read using English in order to effectively perform essential requirements of this position
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record
- In accordance with accreditation standards, employment is conditional upon applicants demonstrating proof of visual colour discrimination ability pertinent to the essential duties of the job
