**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the execution of a new road construction contract carried out by third-party contractors.
- Maintain a consistent physical presence on-site during all active construction work.
- Validate quantities and oversee quality testing as claimed by the contractor.
- Monitor progress to ensure work is carried out according to specifications, standards, and timelines.
- Provide oversight on earthwork operations, site surveying, and overall road construction activities.

The consultant is to match the working hours and rotations of the site contractors. This could mean working days up to 12 hours in duration, and working as many as 12 days in a 14-day rotation, depending on the site contractor’s work schedule.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in road construction supervision, with strong knowledge of earthworks and site surveying.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials testing, and quantity validation.
- Strong organizational, observational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site-related tasks effectively.

**Preferred**:

- Engineering or technical background in civil engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience working with contractors on infrastructure or public works projects.
