Environmental Service Aide

**REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)**
- Secondary School Diploma
- Successful completion of Public Health Ontario’s Environmental Toolkit based on the Best Practices for Environmental Cleaning for Prevention and Control of Infections, PIDAC 2018, within one month of start date

**REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)**
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work well with others in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and complete workload assignments with mínimal supervision
- Must complete workload assignments with a high degree of attention to detail and thoroughness throughout areas of assignment
- Show an eagerness and capacity to adapt to change
- Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position
- Individual must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position which include lifting, standing, walking and the operation of various equipment for long periods of time
- As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department

**DESIRED SKILLS**, EXPERIENCE(S)** & EDUCATION**
- Previous environmental aide experience in a healthcare facility is considered an asset

**Location**: South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge

**Department**: Environmental Services

**Hours of Work**: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement.
