Job Purpose

An independently owned recreational cannabis dispensary is looking for an experienced Cansell Accredited Bud Tender to represent our company at a new Buds4Less Cannabis Dispensary coming to town.

Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service and educating customers on the many facets in the current Canadian Cannabis Industry. The incoming employee will work closely with the company managers and owners to meet all store and organizational needs. Weekends and open availability required.

Duties will include but are not limited to: customer service and sales, cannabis consultation with customers, stocking, back room organization, cleaning and recovering store, inventory, all other shop duties. It is important for incoming budtender to have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, product and strain knowledge, cash handling experience, and excellent customer service.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Greets and age verifies customers as per the AGCO and company guidelines
- Engages with customers to understand their needs and recommends products based on those needs
- Educates customers on benefits of cannabis products
- Assists with the intake of deliveries, transfers, and inventory management
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the store including organizing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Performs sales transactions including cash handling, using POS system, and compliantly packaging for purchase
- Enters and/or modifies customer information in POS System during sales transaction for membership capture
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience
- Must be 19 years old or older to apply
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Must hold or obtain a valid Province of Ontario Cansell Certificate
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to obtain a criminal check as per the requirements of the AGCO.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of provincial laws related to cannabis sales.
- Experience with Cova POS system
- Cannabis knowledge and/or cannabis industry experience

Physical Requirements
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items

Compensation Details
- Pay : $16.55

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

**Experience**:

- customer service: 2 years (preferred)

- Standard AGCO Cansell Certificate (preferred)
