We are presently seeking personnel to fill the following position;
**Voice/ Data/ Fiber Structured Cabling Technician**

**Responsibilities**:

- Installation, termination and testing of telecommunication cabling
- Troubleshooting, repairing and servicing of installed telecommunication cabling
- Install network racks and cabinets
- Interpret and execute blue prints and construction drawings, work orders, and special requirements
- Be customer oriented and provide professional customer service when fulfilling customer requests
- Report and update project managers on state of projects
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork as required
- Be creative, adaptable, and flexible in problem solving and completing tasks
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and overtime
- May be required to travel

Required Qualifications:

- A valid Voice Data Video “M” Class license

Experience installing data, voice, security and video cabling
- Ability to install and test multimode and single-mode fiber optic cables, complete mechanical and fusion splicing
- A valid Manitoba driver’s license with access to a vehicle
- Commitment to following safe work practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints/construction drawings and technical manuals
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Must be physically fit including the ability to lift heavy objects
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Clean criminal record and background check

Desired Skills:

- First aid training
- Experience in access control systems, CCTV systems, network and computer installation and troubleshooting.

**Salary**: $16.64-$30.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Extended health care

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Licence/Certification:

- M Class License (required)
