**_ It’s why we exist._**
We believe in the importance and impact of access to healthy and safe food for children and families within our communities. Across our many programs, our kitchens act and serve as the heart of Today’s Family - offering places to nourish, gather, learn, and grow together.
With food as the invitation, our Cooks offer essential support to creating welcoming and positive environments for children, families, and our people to thrive.
**Who Are We?**
Today’s Family is a large and growing not-for-profit, charitable organization serving over 6,000 children and families in over 86 neighbourhoods across Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand and Norfolk, and Oxford County. We’re on a mission. By working together to enrich today’s families, we want what’s best for children. It’s our vision that every child experience the joy of learning through play. We achieve this by holding our core values close to us, allowing them to guide us into the future we embrace - a future for every child. We value _Caring, Collaboration, Accountability, Innovation, and Inclusion_.
We offer a wide variety of licensed early learning and child care programs for children ages 0-12 and their families.
We care for children. Children in our programs receive fresh food cooked and prepared on-site by our Caring Cooks who are committed to strengthening experiences and opportunities to build stronger food security and food literacy in the early years.
We care for community. Our programs commit to serving whole foods sourced by local growers and vendors. Additionally, our programs commit to eliminating food waste by sharing food with families, our people, and community food programs. We enjoy facilitating spaces for families and community to gather together to enjoy meals.
We believe that food is the invitation to slow down, pause and enjoy play in a new wa,y through social connection and a chance to learn more about the world and people around us. Our meals are enjoyed around a table, joined by friends, family, and community. Time spent in this way is important to us. We believe that we’re better when we’re together.
We know that the very best programs require the very best people - and that’s YOU
