**About the role**
The Electrical Technician will work alongside the R&D team to read and understand systeM/Firmware requirements and come up with creative test scenarios in order to stress test a system/software. Furthermore, they will read and execute test protocols and ensure that internal documentation procedures are met while recording results. The individual will also evaluate, assemble, and maintain electrical/electronic systems.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Read and understand electrical/electronic schematics for the purposes of building, evaluating, testing, troubleshooting and repairing boards (through-hole and surface mount) and cabling.
- Beta test software systems to aid the development team to ensure quality product is released.
- Record and track defects in a bug tracking system.
- Execute manual/automated test cases to ensure the design meets the requirements.
- Document test results and participate in engineering report development.
- Participate in electrical/electronic prototype development.
- Works with a cross-functional team to ensure project timelines are met.
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product Quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented Quality processes and procedures.
**Required qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s, college diploma or equivalent certificate in electro-technical, electronic or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Technician, ideally in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, automotive, etc.)
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
- Technical knowledge of testing concepts for electromechanical equipment.
- Good documentation skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
- Good surface mount hand soldering skills.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of automation tools and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
- An analytical and quantitative approach to work.
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.

Le technicien en électricité travaillera aux côtés de l’équipe de R&D pour lire et comprendre les exigences des systèmes et des logiciels et élaborer des scénarios d’essai créatifs qui permettront de soumettre un système ou un logiciel à des essais sous contrainte. En outre, le titulaire du poste lit et exécute les protocoles d’essai et veille à ce que les procédures liées à la documentation interne soient respectées pendant la consignation des résultats. Il évalue, assemble et entretient également des systèmes électriques et électroniques.
**Responsabilités**
- Effectuer des essais bêta de systèmes logiciels afin d’aider l’équipe de développement à livrer un produit de qualité.
- Noter les défauts et en assurer le suivi dans un système de suivi des bogues.
- Exécuter des scénarios d’essai manuels ou automatisés pour vérifier que les résultats de la phase de conception répondent aux exigences.
- Documenter les résultats des essais et participer à la préparation des rapports d’ingénierie.
- Lire et comprendre les schémas électriques et électroniques afin de construire, d’évaluer, de tester, de diagnostiquer et de réparer les cartes (à trous et à montage en surface) et le câblage.
- Participer à la mise au point de prototypes électriques ou électroniques.
- Travailler avec une équipe interfonctionnelle afin de veiller au respect des délais établis pour les projets.
- Faire preuve en tout temps d’un engagement de premier plan en faveur de la sécurité des patients et de la qualité des produits en respectant la politique de qualité de Boston Scientific et tous les autres processus et procédures de qualité documentés.
**Qualifications requises**
- Baccalauréat ou diplôme en électrotechnique, en électronique ou dans un domaine connexe.
- Expérience en matière d’utilisation d’outils manuels et électriques et d’équipements de brasage et de contrôle des défauts.
- Connaissance technique des concepts relatifs aux essais d’équipements électromécaniques.
- Bonnes aptitudes en matière de documentation.
