Shunt Truck Driver

TEAMS Transport is looking to fill a full-time Shunt Driver in our busy Winnipeg terminal.

**Duties and Responsibilities Shunt Driver**:
Shunt trailers in and out of doors.

Assist with setting up LCV trailers.

Keep yard organized by straightening up trailer parking.

Visual inspection of outbound trailers

Scaling trailers

Visual checks on equipment looking for damages

Repositioning trailers in yard (yard organization)

Cleaning up yard

Deliveries/pick ups to customers in proximity of the yard

Ensuring paperwork is with trailers

Other ad hoc shunt duties as determined by warehouse supervisor

Prior Shunt Truck Experience (class 1 required).

Have a high attention to detail.

Show initiative and take pride in your work.

Be a problem solver.

Be flexible.

Will adhere to all safety protocols.

Cooperate and communicate effectively.

Be organized in a fast-paced environment.

Be able to self-motivate during down time.

Be available for alternating evenings and weekends.

Have the ability to read, sort and understand shipping manifests.

Have the ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.

Be able to work in varying temperatures, depending on season.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from shoulder to floor, standing and walking for the majority of your shift.
