We are actively seeking an experieced Production Team Leader.

Job Title: production Team Leader Reports To: Manufacturing Group Leader

Location: Collingwood, ON Department: Manufacturing

**Primary Duties**:

- Actively lead the team to ensure that team targets and objectives are met in all aspects of business, while promoting and monitoring the process of continuous improvement.
- Accountable for the health and safety of employees and ensure compliance with all established Health & Safety rules and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Create and promote harmonious working relationships, improving the operations of the team and its relationship with both internal and external customers.
- Monitor and evaluate costs, quality and service, identifying areas for improvement programs to eliminate waste. This will be achieved through the use of problem solving techniques, evaluation of team results compared to budget and objectives and the ongoing monitoring of team performance.
- Define priorities, in conjunction with team members, setting objectives and devising improvement plans in order that results meet or exceed expectations.
- Together with the team and planning functions, ensure and guarantee the total satisfaction of all customers both internal and external.
- Assist in defining the training and development needs of all team members
- In conjunction with the Manager and Engineer, determine any necessary investment within the team area and prepare the justification for capital expenditures
- Ensure all employees are trained on Standard Operating Procedures for their particular job function and that they are performing the job in the manner outlined in the S.O.P.
- Insure internal IATF environmental management system compliance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality system. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Assist with weekly Production manning scheduling of plant.
- Conduct audits as required.

**Qualifications Required**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in related area - technical area is an asset
- 5 to 7+ years related experience in manufacturing environment, supervising employees in a unionized environment
- Experience in the automotive industry is an asset
- Union experience is a definite asset
- Strong computer skills - word, excel, ppt, outlook
- Availability to work weekends
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teambuilding skills

**Salary**: $82,000.00-$92,000.00 per year
