Edmonton, Canada Rail Shop Services Inc. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the fabrication of custom equipment, which can range from outfitting a sea container with insulation, pumps, piping, and HVAC equipment, to prototype equipment fabrication, testing and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and repair of mechanical systems and components for automation and facility operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment in rail and municipal infrastructure settings.

**Minimum Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Journeyman Plumber ticket.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment to safety culture.
- Possess a valid Class 5 operator's license.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- A background check is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems.

**Assets**:

- Dual trade ticket would be an asset, but not a requirement (millwright, gasfitter, heavy duty mechanic, or similar)
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, diesel fuel systems, pumps, and HVAC systems.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
