To ensure that the various aerospace parts are properly prepared for the repair and/or painting process. These duties must be handled in a competent, efficient, and productive manner to ensure the parts have been prepared for repair and/or painting.

**Responsibilities**
- Remove surface contamination such as grease, deposits, scale, etc. prior to surface preparation
- Removal of paint is performed by mechanical means (D/A sander and/or hand sanding)
- Threaded holes, tapped holes are to be plugged or masked using a clean release masking tape
- Masking of parts prior to paint
- Review teardown reports (identifies scope of work repaired for a repair)
- Understanding of scheduling requirements to meet customer demands
- Painter duties and responsibilities, when required
- When required additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience and basic understanding of body prep process, would be an asset
- 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing painting environment (aerospace preferred), would be an asset
- Knowledge of and ability to mix various paint systems (for example, epoxy, epoxy primers, polyurethanes, enamels, water-based paints)
- Must be able speak, read, write, and understand English
- Aptitude to pay close attention to detail
