Pay Rate will be $21.93/hour. **Key Responsibilities**: - Manage access control: verify credentials, check tickets/IDs, screen bags and personal items. - Monitor crowd flow and behavior: identify potential risks such as overcrowding or disruptive conduct and intervene appropriately. - Conduct patrols and surveillance of venue areas, both interior and exterior (as required), ensuring restricted zones are secure. - Respond to emergencies or incidents: coordinate with law enforcement, medical, fire, or other emergency services as needed. - Assist attendees with customer service - giving directions, assisting with venue navigation, liaising with event staff. - Report incidents, suspicious behaviors or security breaches promptly and accurately. Maintain logs and communicate with supervisory staff. - Pre-event and post-event duties as required: set up, venue inspection, debrief, exit flow management. **Requirements**: - Experience in large-scale event security (for example: 5 events with >1,000 attendees) OR one year of experience as a security supervisor. - Valid British Columbia Security Licence and legally authorized to work in Canada. - Valid Basic First Aid / Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1). - Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. - Physical ability to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods during the event. - Comfortable operating under pressure in crowded settings and with changing conditions. - Must maintain a professional, alert presence, and work well in a team environment.
