We are currently seeking a skilled Outside Sales Rep to join our team and help us continue to deliver outstanding products and services. **Mission of the Position** The mission of this position is to increase revenue by finding and closing business. There are some warm leads that come in mainly from referrals, but new sales will largely come from opportunities Outside Sales Representatives uncover by researching and cold calling. **Location - Ottawa, Ontario** This position will require you to spend approximately 50% at our office and 50% of the time on the road connecting with clients. **Key Criteria/Requirement** - Has worked for at least two companies. - 8+ years’ experience in sales. - Has experience selling to national accounts in Canada - Has experience selling signage. - Demonstrated ability to effectively cold call on prospective clients and generate >75% revenue from cold prospects. - Has been successful selling to large companies. - Has closed big deals, ideally over $50K. - Demonstrated ability to sell a new concept from a lesser-known company to people who don’t necessarily know they need it. - Has a good network of contacts. - Has earned over $100K annually in a commissioned sales position. **Key Responsibilities** - Client Acquisition: - Identify and prospect potential clients in the Ottawa region who may benefit from Sign FX's products and services. - Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events. - Consultative Selling: - Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' signage requirements and goals. - Provide tailored and effective solutions, demonstrating how Sign FX's products and services meet the unique needs of each client. - Relationship Management: - Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals. - Stay engaged with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensure satisfaction with Sign FX's products and services. - Proposal Development: - Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of Sign FX's offerings. - Collaborate with the internal team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of proposals that meet or exceed client expectations. - Market Awareness: - Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions in Ottawa's signage and graphics sector. - Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding market dynamics, customer preferences, and opportunities for business growth. **What does success look like?** **In 6 months** - you have a good understanding of the operations, terminology and roles / responsibilities of everyone within the company. You have orientated yourself with the common signage we provide and have a solid understanding of the services and the sectors we serve. You have built out SqaureCoil to allow for consistent estimates. You are efficiently estimating jobs in a timely manner with little support from Spencer. **By 12 month**s - You have now integrated all estimating functions under your direction. You have control of all platforms like “building connected, MERX, Biddingo Etc” and are successfully meeting all deadlines. You have built solid relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors and continuously nurture those relationships. We have secured 2-4 new large projects and are heading for another year of 30% growth. **What makes Sign FX unique?** - Health Benefits to ensure your well-being.
