Overview

Want to use your expertise to connect to an IT career with a difference? As an ITSM Technical Specialist II with WorkSafeBC, you’ll do just that. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in maintaining, supporting and administering WorkSafeBC’s Service Management related platform and tools. You’ll join a dedicated team in supporting and managing the ServiceNow platform. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to develop solutions, implement specific enhancements, support continual service improvement initiatives, and facilitate the implementation of new capabilities on the platform. This role requires technical skills to create and maintain catalog items, flows and APIs for service management solutions.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of some remote work**with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you’ll work three or more days a week in our Richmond office.

What you'll do

**As an ITSM Technical Specialist II you will**:

- Manage, administer and coordinate ITSM platform (ServiceNow) updates and upgrades to maintain performance and currency
- Manage, administer, and design configurations and customizations for platform efficiency
- Analyze and identify opportunities to automate workflows and solutions
- Develop and implement no code and low code solutions
- Respond and resolve high complexity incidents to minimize service disruptions and provide timely support
- Assist in developing and implementation roll-out and change management plans for technologies and processes
- Provide statistical analysis and reporting on related system performance

- Provide education to internal stakeholders for related technologies and best practices
- Make critical, complex decisions and recommendations for platform improvement and enhancements

**Your background and experience**
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business Management or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 years of experience working in a technical support, development, or delivery role, inclusive of 5 years’ experience working in a role specific to system or service management platform development
- ITIL or ServiceNow certification
